Calling all UK Makers to Brighton’s First Mini Maker Faire

With just under three months to go until the first ever Brighton Mini Maker Faire, we’re now taking applications from those interested in exhibiting at the event on 3rd September at the Dome.

We’re looking for hackers, designers, builders, crafters, artists – all makers – to participate by bringing along their projects to share, demonstrate and educate. It’s a brilliant opportunity to get your big ideas out of the workshop and into public – and to be part of the Brighton Digital Festival programme as well as a first of its kind event in the city. We’ll also be running a programme of workshops and talks and would be interested in hearing from anyone who wants to be involved in this side of the event.

We want to get a broad range of makers, so we’re asking applicants to tell us a little bit about what they make and how they propose to share it. To get a flavour for the kind of people and projects that have appeared at other Maker Faires, have a look at this video from a recent event in Newcastle:

You can apply to be a Maker and find out more about what sort of Makers we’re looking for on the dedicated Makers page. We’d also be happy to hear from you via Twitter or email. If you’re not a maker yourself but would like to come along to the event, sign up and stay tuned via the Facebook event page.

Applications close on 30th June and the full list of successful applicants will be announced on 22nd July.
