Meet the Maker: Underwater Robots

As part of our “Meet the Makers” interview series, we asked our Makers to tell us a little about themselves. Today, meet Martin from Underwater Robots!

Underwater Robots1) Who are you and where do you come from?

I’m Martin Evans, from Peterhead, North East Scotland.

2) What do you do?

I build Underwater Robots, including underwater ROVs (Remote Operated Vehicles). I’ve also just been appointed as a national coordinator for Code Club in Scotland.

3) Do you have a website?

http://www.underwaterrov.net (all about underwater ROVs) and http://www.caggy.co.uk (my personal website).

4) What will you have on your stall?


I’ll have my original robot, a couple of Micro ROV’s in a tank for people to play with, an OpenROV (an open source underwater robot) and hopefully a new Raspberry Pi-based autonomous underwater robot.

5) Are you running any workshops?

No.
