My project makes limited edition, wearable apparell pieces (collars, scarves, head-pieces and textile jewellery) from woollen jumpers, fair trade yarns and vintage fabrics, working hand-made techniques with a textile/craft emphasis.
My processes incorporate twisting and wrapping of fabrics; looping into crochet – vintage beads, buttons, salvage findings, and gemstones to create interesting and wearable pieces with multiple wearing options.
I adapt the techniques to work in fully sustainable materials such as plarn (yarn made of plastic bags), etc…making my pieces to consider environmental impact.
