Kelvin’s thunderstorm: An electrostatic generator that uses falling water to generate very high voltages ~40,000 volts. With no moving parts or magnets the principle (invented by Lord Kelvin) is surprisingly simple.

Balancing robot: A large remote controlled robot that balances on two wheels (like a segway) built from children’s ride on toy components.

A kinect controlled tower crane: The driver uses gestures to control the crane to pick up sweets, be sure to be wearing your hard hat!

Various spark generators, nixie tubes glowing, a ‘Peggy2′ led peg board clock and who knows what else…
