Get involved in Brighton Mini Maker Faire!
As a community-run event, our volunteers are a key part of making Brighton Mini Maker Faire a superb day for all. Helping out as a volunteer is a great way to meet like-minded folk, and as members of the Maker Faire team all volunteers will gain free entry to the Maker Faire – plus we’ll keep you fed and watered throughout the day.
With up to 10,000 visitors coming through the doors and almost a hundred Makers large and small the logistics of this event are serious. Our volunteers typically get involved with helping us with the event set up and take down, welcoming visitors, providing information and guidance, delivering water and packed lunches to Makers and helping to cover Maker stalls while they take a quick break during the day.
Our helpers need to be reliable and safety conscious folk that can help ensure that the general public are safely stewarded around the place – and you’ll probably need a sense of humour too!
We’re delighted to have a brilliantly accessible venue for this event, and many of the helper roles are perfectly suitable for people who may have mobility or other challenges. We are open to the widest possible range of helpers and we’d be particularly interested in anyone who could help us with signing (BSL). Trained first aiders are always handy too.
Volunteer applications for Brighton Mini Maker Faire 2014 are not yet open, but if you’re interested in volunteering with us then please fill out your details below and we’ll be in touch when applications open!
